The
Art
Practical Martial Arts
located in Brunswick, Ohio specializes primarily in the study of kick
boxing. Kick boxing is a modern martial arts system derived by combining
martial art techniques from a variety of traditional martial art disciplines.
It is therefore considered to be a mixed martial art. The students will
learn how to use their whole body to perform different techniques such
as hand/elbow blocks, knee/foot blocks, kicks, punches and sparring, while
standing, or if they happen to be on the ground. By learning from other
disciplines in one class, the student will become well rounded as a martial
artist.

Practical Martial Arts'
mission is to help educate our community on the "practical essentials
for life." The first practical essential is the student's body. We try
to encourage a student to develop a healthier body through physical fitness
in every class. Our students learn proper flexibility, strengthening, stamina,
weight control and coordination skills. The second practical essential is
a strong mind. In class our students learn positive character skills such
as self-respect, self discipline, self-control and concentration drills. The
third practical essential is a confident spirit. Our students practice the
skills of self-esteem, confidence, humility, integrity and a positive attitude
toward life. With the three essentials the students will relieve stress, improve
body mobility, improve mental agility, develop self-defense skills and fun
comradeship with others. |
